AI-Driven Migration to Open Source Office Solutions With the proliferation of artificial intelligence, significant changes are occurring in PC application software. Several Western European countries have announced their migration from Microsoft 365 to open source office suites, aiming to promote the development of AI-based application software in both public and private sectors. This transition appears to coincide with a broader shift from Windows to Linux operating systems. The primary goal seems to be reducing expenditure on high-specification, expensive PCs by migrating from resource-intensive operating systems to compact, fast-running Linux distributions. This strategic move aims to strengthen competitiveness by commercializing a wide range of innovative technologies, including AI applications, while integrating them with key technologies developed by small and medium-sized enterprises.
